Lovecraft Crimsonland. Review 20 Minutes Till Dawn
On the wake of the popularity of Vampire Survivors, quite a few similar games appeared, high -quality and not very. This is one of them, a mixture of a new -fiber bestseller and Honored Veteran. Early access.
The game is declared for the Windows platform.
The gameplay is a survival under the attacks of the waves of enemies for a certain time.
There are two modes. Something like a quick game (you can’t get Achovka, but the experience of an account is gained) – survival of 10 minutes and a regular game – you need to survive for 20 minutes (here and experience and Achivka).
If you survive on the first night, then new levels of complexity are unlocked. There are sixteen in total (from zero to 15).
There are seven types of heroines that are quite different in stats and seven types of possible weapons (guns are very different in properties and mechanics of application).
At first there is no choice. We have the only hero and one weapon – a revolver.
This is a rather sad combination and the first races did not go very much fun. The hero moves slowly, the weapon beats weakly, there is no talk of controlling the crowds of monsters, you need to cut large circles by location to just collect the knocked out crumbs of experience. This period must be experienced, but then interesting options begin.
For each attempt, we gain a certain number of account points of the account and new characters, weapons and runes are being opened for it.
The runes system are arranged in almost the same way as the development of liability in Vampire Survivors. A lot of improvements, you need a lot of grinds to open them all.

We need to aim from weapons and shoot manually. There is a reloading mechanism, automatic (if the entire store is shot) or manually (if necessary).

There is a set of experience within the level (not preserved for an account), for it we get random various improvements. It can be the effect for a shot, fast running, assistant or something else, there are a lot of variations. In addition, amplifiers have several stages of development, we open them gradually (but taking into account the random of the loss).
In the settings menu there is a line “Synergy”. Here are shown options for pumping and what additional effects can give. Just like in Vampire Survivors – for the development of special skills, it was necessary to collect combinations of skills and licenses.
Consider the pros and cons of the game, summarize the results.
+ Simple, but pleasant (with nuances that are plus/minus) graphics.
+ Just one melody of the soundtrack, but does not bother. Good sound accompaniment.
+ There are a lot of types of heroes.
+ There are a lot of types of weapons.
+ Good tree of runes (liability) for development.
+ Many options for pumping inside the race.
+ Competitive monsters and bosses.
What can be both a plus and a minus:
+- Facial graphics. Some kind of monophonic. The case, according to legend, happens at night, they also let the crown. As a result, the eye, personally, I have stopped clinging, but someone may not like this monotony.
+- There is Russian localization of the text. It is decorated rather sloppy that minus. It is available and performs its functions that plus.
+- A fairly high complexity. The enemies are not imbalance, of course, but too much nimble relative to the hero. Kite, as for me, is too drawn in some cases.
+- The weapon does not change during the race. Although, in a wide range (depending on random pumping), the properties of the same barrel in different game sessions may differ.
– The start of the game must be experienced and reached good types of weapons. As for me, this stage is dragged out and the player can quite reasonably start yawning and “not live” to really interesting zarub and guns.
One of the imitators of Vampire Survivors, which can be called worthy. Here you need to aim and shoot yourself, which brings a certain action to the process.
On early access. It is announced that the game is practically ready for the game. New enemies, bosses, pumping are promised (heroes and weapons will remain those that are).
